Hermes, Messenger of the Gods Bronze Statue by Top Collection
Hermes (or Mercury to the Romans), was the Greek God of medicine and messenger to the Gods of Olympus. His winged feet are resting on the Earth and he holds the Caduseus staff, which later became the symbol of the medical arts.
Hermes is an Olympian god in Greek mythology, the son of Zeus and Maia. Hermes is a god of transitions and boundaries. He is quick and cunning, and moved freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine, as emissary and messenger of the gods, intercessor between mortals and the divine, and conductor of souls into the afterlife. He is the protector and patron of travelers, herdsmen, thieves, orators and wit, literature and poets, athletics and sports, invention and commerce.
Made of cold cast bronze infused resin, this Greek statue has exceptional detail and a bronze like finish at a fraction of the weight (and cost!). He measures 13 inches high.
