Triscele Celtic Spiral Pewter Necklace in 2 Sizes by PEPI Pewter

Perhaps the true secret of Celtic spirals lies in their simplicity and beauty. They are Universal Symbols of the Spiritual Balance between Inner and outer Consciousness. Celtic Spirals are associated with the Power of the Sun and Harmony with the Earth.

Whatever the Triscele's meaning, it is interesting that the motif is based around the number 3 - a highly Sacred Number in most ancient cultures.

The “Spiral of Life" is found on many ancient Irish stone carvings dating back to 2500 BC; most scholars believe it represents the Cycle of Life, Death, and Rebirth.

Others say this deeply Mystical Symbol represents the Male, Female, and Child on the Path of Life.

The triple spiral represents the Eternal Truth and helps show us that the meaning of life is to find Harmony between the three dimensions of our existence.

This fine pewter pendant is cast by hand in the USA and beautifully finished on a black satin cord with pewter accent bead. Design by Holly Bird, this pendant comes in 2 sizes: Small is 1 inch in diameter, Large is 1 3/8 inches.

Materials
Pewter Pewter is a malleable metal alloy, traditionally 85–99% tin, with the remainder consisting of copper and other metals. It has a low melting point and is very easy to cast in molds. It has been used since ancient times for everything from jewelry to table wear and was once called the "poor mans silver". Generally pewter has a grayish/silver semi-dull finish, though this varies depending on the metals combined with the tin and can be colored black or other shades or plated with gold or silver. All our pewter pieces are lead and nickel free. Pewter is generally hypo-allergenic and will not tarnish or react in most conditions. Note it can break or crack if flexed multiple times and rings cannot be re-sized, though interior ring springs or other adjusters might be used.
